Migration/refugee flows. Poverty is increasing and that means…

Poverty is increasing and that means that the migration/refugee flows will increase as well, and it’s getting worse because the EU countries are still not able to provide a solution. The EU countries cannot continue to accomodate those migrants/refugees, and they cause too many problems. The EU countries agree that it’s too expensive, there are not enough houses, there are not enough jobs, they undermine health care and education, they worsen crime, they often become a nuisance for citizens/businesses and public transportation, and they pose a nuisance and a threat to girls/women, so it’s clear that they disrupt the EU society. And that flawed EU policy also causes unnecessary suffering to migrants/refugees, many migrants/refugees were abused or they died along the way. So it’s clear that those migration/refugee flows will never come to an end if the EU countries don’t change that flawed EU policy, they need to create a better future for those people in their home country, in refugee camps or in the region. That will be a lot cheaper, and it will reduce the previously mentioned problems. Migrants/refugees know that their future will only improve in the richer EU countries, so they will only return to their home country, a refugee camp or the region if the EU countries create a better future for those people.

A social economy

The migration/refugee flows are the result of the egocentric global economy of the richer countries, so one can only stop the migration/refugee flows if one creates another economy for those people (a non-egocentric social economy). But governments need to ensure that it will not affect the current global economy, otherwise it will not work. Governments need to build a large amount of social companies (workshops) where migrants/refugees will be able to improve their future with a low-skilled job, those people need to be able to produce simple social products after a short instruction. The amount of social companies will grow rapidly once many social products are sold in the richer countries, the profit will be enormous because the companies who sell those social products will have to agree that they will give a large part of the profit (75%) to a social company organization. That organization will ensure that the money is only used for a good salary, for materials and equipment, for local social projects and for more social companies. Each employee may only work a certain number of hours per week so that more people can work in those social companies, they must all earn enough money to build a better future for them and their family and local social projects will improve the lives of many poor people. So every migrant/refugee may only earn a certain maximum amount of money with which they can build a good future in their home country or in the region, and the social company organization will determine what that maximum amount of money is for each country. So they will have to leave when they have enough money, and then other migrants/refugees can replace them. This idea will only work if one creates a global demand for social products, so I will provide an example.

Social product for a global event

I know that billions of people will buy a social product if governments agree to organize a global event, and they need to tell citizens worldwide that they need to wear a unique tshirt on that day. Citizens will do that, it’s just like the Orange tshirts on King’s Day in the Netherlands. So that unique tshirt (with a certain print) will be a social product, and it creates a high demand due to that global event. One can have billions of tshirts printed in many social companies, so migrants/refugees (and poor people) in various countries can earn enough money for themselves and their family, for local social projects and for more social companies. People/companies need to come up with similar ideas for social products, products which are in high demand and low-skilled people need to be able to produce those social products. Most migrants/refugees don’t work in refugee camps or asylum centers in the EU countries and that means that EU countries will have to continue to spend billions of euro’s each year on those people, so it’s smarter and much cheaper if they offer those people a low-skilled job in many social companies in refugee camps, in safe areas in their home country or in the region.

It would be great if governments and successful companies, rich/famous people, foundations etc would support this idea and if they would donate a lot of money for the first social company buildings, and male migrants/refugees could build those buildings (they can help). So male migrants in asylum centers and refugee camps in the EU can return to a refugee camp, to safe areas in their home country or to the region and there they can start to build those social company buildings, and local poor people will get a job as well if it’s possible (also for social projects). Those who return can easily create a better future for themselves and their families, and the refugees get their money when they can go to another country or when they can return to a safe area in their home country. Other migrants/refugees and poor people will also benefit from the profits, because it will also be invested in local social projects in order to improve the lives of many people. And once many social company buildings are finished, then other migrants/refugees can get a low-skilled job as well in a refugee camp, their home country or in the region, and many will also be able to get a job in all kinds of social projects near those social companies.

This is what they need for this idea.

1.) An international social company organization, the employees must understand that they will not receive a high salary.

2.) Seed capital (donations) from governments/investors for social company buildings and materials/equipment/etc.

3.) Universal social company buildings with a modular structure which can easily be build by low skilled migrants/refugees.

4.) Furniture, inventory, food.

5.) Logistics (cars/trucks/etc).

6.) Companies in rich countries who want to participate.

7.) Employees for production/logistics.

8.) Employees for kitchen, security, maintenance, cleaning.

9.) Social product ideas, we need creative people who can come up with products that many people need or want to buy.

10.) Equipment and materials for production (for example unprinted tshirts).

11.) Global media attention, and influential people need to try convince other influential people so that they will donate money as well.

12.) Housing.

Etc.

One can set up a professional plan and a social company organization in the short term, and then one can start. Governments can organize a global event within one or two years and they can tell citizens worldwide that they need to wear that unique t-shirt at that global event in order to support poor people and migrants/refugees. This idea will work if governments and influential people/parties participate, they will realize that it will work once many social products are sold by social companies. One social company will create jobs for 50 to 100 people and maybe more because they will also work in shifts, they will also work at local social projects, and then many social companies will follow if they make a large profit with those social products. If companies in the rich countries are willing to sell those social products for 25% of the profit, then it will eventually decrease that poverty/migration/refugee problem.

That is what we need, we need a separate social economy and we need to solve that poverty/migration/refugee problem before it cannot be solved anymore. Governments and influential people/parties should not wait, we all know that it’s already too late and it will get much worse. Governments have spent a lot of money on a problem that they cannot solve, accommodating too many migrants/refugees is madness, we cannot create a better future for them in the EU, so they should try this idea. If countries worldwide create a global annual event then one can start with those social companies, one can build 100 social companies or more and that number of social companies will rapidly grow once they make a profit. The details can be worked out by a joint team from several EU countries, and then they can set up a social company organization that will organize construction/production/sales/etc. There is no other solution, so the EU countries should try it.
